Adesert wadi on the west bank of the Nile opposite Thebesin which a number of tombsof Dynasty 18 queens are located, including Manhata and other foreign wives of Thutmose III, and Hatshepsut’s first tomb and possibly that of her mother, Ahmose, and daughter, Nefrure. The site also yielded burials of baboons from the Ptolemaic Period.
