The owner of a tomb built at Saqqara south of the causeway of the pyramidof Unasthat was discovered by Egyptian archaeologists in 1966. Son of the overseer of singers Kahay and Meretites, who were also buried here. Nefer inherited his father’s rank and built the tomb for the family during Dynasty 5. The tomb contains fine painted reliefs and is remarkable for the survival of a male mummy in a fine state of preservation.
