Throne name Neferibre. Son and successor of Nekau II. He sought to restore Egyptian prestige by a campaign into Nubiarecorded by graffitiof his soldiers at Abu Simbel and also intrigued in Palestine. He arranged the adoption of his daughter, Ankhnesneferibre, as God’s wife of Amun. He died on 10 February 589 BC.
