(Rue de Flandre 46)
The Maison de la Bellone dates from the late 17th century. Richly decorated, the façade is thought to be the work of sculptor Jean Cosyn. The building takes its name from a bust of Bellona, the Roman goddess of war, that stands in the center above the arch over the front door. The structure is a representative example of a maison de derrière ("house at the back") as it is not visible from the street.
Exhibitions, concerts, and theatrical performances are now held in the building. Since 1995, it has been enveloped in a protective glass covering.
