medium-term notes (MTNs)
Debt instruments with maturities ranging from 9 months to 30 years that are offered on a continuous basis. Offered on a continuous basis means that they are issued and sold as buyers request them rather than on a single issue date. MTNs have features similar to corporate bonds.
