Stock Exchange Automated Quotation system of the London Stock Exchange. The system used by market makers to disseminate the prices at which they are prepared to trade in equities ( equity) and bonds quoted on the exchange. It also acts as a means of disseminating other market and general information. For SEAQ to be used for a listed company's shares, there must be two market makers registered in the stock to offer competing prices at which investors can deal.
