TERRACOTTAS
Terracotta decoration, particularly antefixes, acroteria, and friezes, was extensively used in Etruria to decorate palace buildings (e.g., Murlo and Acquarossa) and temples (e.g., Orvieto, Veii, and Tarquinia), since fired terracottas and tiles were widely employed both to protect and decorate the wooden superstructures of buildings.
