(c. 1950- )
An illustrator and painter, Chereskin is credited with introducing pastel colors for men's sweaters in the 1970s. "Disco fever" was the rage of the decade and Chereskin created casual polyester men's sportswear. In 2006, the Ron Chereskin label received a total makeover. The plan revolved around unifying the Chereskin brand into a cohesive product line. This has resulted in all licensed Chereskin, as well as all Chereskin main floor products, to be promoted under the Studio Ron Chereskin name. Additionally, a collection label and a lifestyle label are being developed. Chere-skin is a recipient of a Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) award for menswear.
