(c. 1970- )
Born in Grenoble, France, Malandrino began her career after graduating from Esmod. Before moving to the United States, her work experience included Dorothèe Bis, Emanuel Ungaro, and the French label, Et Vous. In 1998, she met her husband and business partner, Bernard Aidan, and helped relaunch the Diane von Furstenberg collection before opening her own collection in 1998. Best known for naming her collections with simple, evocative words such as Collage, Flag, or Hallelujah, Malandrino produced beautiful clothes with star appeal. Her clothes have appeared on Madonna, Halle Berry, and Julia Roberts, as well as on Sarah Jessica Parker while Sex and the City was being filmed at Malandrino's store.
