Mohair is an animal fiber derived from the hair of the Angora goat, which originated in Turkey several thousands of years ago and today is also farmed in Texas and South Africa. Mohair fiber, which is a long and lustrous fiber, is much smoother in texture than wool. It is used in men's, women's, and children's apparel and accessories.
