With more than thirty years as a stylist/designer/ costumer for socialites, film, media, and fashionistas, Patricia Field also styled the hit television show Sex and the City (1998-2004), for which she received five Emmy nominations and one win. The show is considered by many to be one of the most "fashionable" shows in TV history. Field also has a clothing line, House of Field, which is sold internationally and designed by David Dalrymple since 1995 and signed with Candies to do a limited-edition line of apparel, footwear, and accessories: Vintage Candies by Patricia Field, which launched in spring 2005. Her roots, however, reach back to her own store in New York, which she opened in 1966. Filled with punk fashion, hip accessories, and flashy undergarments, it has set the stage for numerous trends for more than thirty years.
