Lifestyle-dressing
A manner of dressing that reflects a specific style or attitude. Designers such as Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein are examples of highly successful lifestyle designers who have created clothing, accessories, and home goods that evoke the perception of a particular social class or lifestyle. Retailers, as well as designers, recognize the value of creating a customer brand to gain customer loyalty. Consumers identify with brands that project the lifestyle they already lead or that emulate a lifestyle they desire to lead. The customer can rightfully assume that the brand they identify with will have depth across numerous categories of clothing. Silhouettes, colors, fabrication, and garment details will reflect this lifestyle identification.
