Morwenna
Morwenna f
Cornish and Welsh: from an Old Celtic personal name derived from an element cognate with Welsh morwyn maiden. It was borne by a somewhat obscure Cornish saint of the 5th century; churches in her honour have named several places in Cornwall. The name was revived in Wales in the mid-20th century as a result of nationalistic sentiment.
