Eden
Eden m
English: transferred use of the surname, itself derived in the Middle Ages from a given name Edun or Edon. This is of Old English origin, composed of the elements ēad prosperity, riches, fortune + hūn bear cub. Use as a modern given name has probably been encouraged by association with the biblical Garden of Eden, so named from Hebrew 'ēden place of pleasure.
