Ceridwen
Ceridwen f
Welsh: name borne in Celtic mythology by the goddess of poetic inspiration. It is apparently composed of the elements cerdd poetry + (g)wen feminine of gwyn white, fair, blessed, holy. This is said to have been the name of the mother of the legendary 6th-century Welsh hero Taliesin, but it is not clear whether in fact it represents a personal name or whether Taliesin is to be regarded as the son of the goddess of poetry.
