The father of the Jewish people, and the first of the patriarchs of Judaism. He migrated from Ur of the Chaldeans to Haran and then to the Promised Land around the second millennium BC. He was the father of both Isaac and Ishmael and, as such, is considered the common ancestor of both Arabs and Jews.
