Goldman, Solomon
(1893-1953)
   American Con-servative rabbi. He was born in Volhynia and was taken to the US as a child. He was rabbi of the Anshe Emet Synagogue of Chicago from 1929. He was known as an orator, scholar, communal leader and Zionist. His publications include A Rabbi Takes Stock, The Jew and the Universe, Crisis and Decision, Undefeated, The Book of Books, In the Beginning and From Slavery to Freedom.
