(1875-1949)
British Zionist leader. He was born in Estonia and went to England in 1891. He served as secretary of the Spanish and Portuguese Congregation, and held various positions in the Zionist movement in London. His publications include The Synagogue and the Church, History of the Jews, Moses Montefiore, Zionism in England and The Jewish National Home.
