(1874-1953)
American cantor and composer. He was born in the Ukraine. He served as a cantor in synagogues in Vienna, St Petersburg and Budapest, before emigrating to the US in 1919. He became cantor at Temple Emanuel in Borough Park, Brooklyn. He moved to Palestine in 1926, but later returned to the US.
