Lowenthal, Marvin
(1890-1969)
   American author. He was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania. He organized the Zionist movement on the West Coast. From 1924 to 1929 he was the European editor of the Menorah Journal, and during this period wrote about literature, politics and Zionism. He served on the Zionist Advisory Commission (1946-9), and was editor of the American Zionist (1952-4). He trans-lated and edited Memoirs of Glueckel ofHameln, and edited Henrietta Szold: Life and Letters.
