Israeli public figure. He was born in Poland, and settled in Palestine in 1941. He joined the underground terrorist movement Lohame Herut Yisrael, which he headed from 1943. After the assassination of Count Bernadotte in 1948, he was sentenced to prison, but he was freed under the terms of the general amnesty of February 1949. He represented the Fighters' Party in the first Knesset. Later he was active in Semitic Action, which supported the idea of a Jewish-Arab federation.
