(1882-1945)
Austrian philosopher and sociologist. Born in Vienna, he studied in Vienna and Berlin. He taught at the Handelsakademie, and later was in charge of planning of the Bavarian Republic. He then returned to Vienna and founded the Social and Economic Museum. He was also part of the Vienna Circle of philosophers. In 1934 he went to Holland, and later settled in England.
