Neutra, Richard
(1891-1970)
   American architect, of Austrian origin. He studied at the Technische Hochschule in Vienna. Subsequently he went to Switzerland and worked as a landscape architect. In 1921 he went to Berlin where he worked in the Municipal Building Office. In 1923 he emigrated to the US and was an architect in Detroit and Chicago. Later he moved to Los Angeles. He believed that buildings should fit into their natural surroundings.
