(1887-1962)
American Hebraist, educator and journalist. He was born in Minsk, and in 1906 moved to the US, where he worked for the Hebraist movement, which aimed to foster the Hebrew language and literature. From 1921 he taught at the Herzliah Hebrew Teachers' College in New York. He contributed articles to the Hebrew weekly Hadoar. A number of his books were based on these contributions. He also edited several children's magazines.
