(1869-1933)
Polish painter. Born in Zadzin, he lived in Lodz, Paris and London. He painted work scenes of wool-dyers at Lodz, and shopkeepers and artisans in London's Whitechapel. He also executed portraits of Hayyim Nahman Bialik, Albert Einstein, Ahad ha-Am, Max Nordau and Chaim Weizmann. His other works include The Opening of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
