German rabbi. He was born in Frankfurt am Main. He served as maggid in Vienna, head of the bet midrash in Worms, and dayyan in Frankfurt. In 1765 he became rabbi of the Great Synagogue in London. A volume of his responsa, Leshon Zahav, was published by his son.
