Hebrew author of Galician origin. Born in Eastern Galicia, he emigrated in 1914 to Palestine, where he taught high school in Tel Aviv and Haifa. He wrote novels, short stories, poems, essays and translations. His fictional works depict life among Galician Jewry and the pioneering efforts in Palestine.
