American industri-alist. He was the son of Louis Blaustein, the founder of American Oil Company, and worked with his father. He served as president of the American Jewish Committee and was a leading member of the Conference on Jewish Claims Against Germany. In 1956 he was a member of the US delegation to the United Nations General Assembly, dealing with social and economic affairs.
