Dünner, Joseph Hirsch
(1833-1911)
   Dutch rabbi and talmudist. He was born in Krakow. He was appointed director of the rabbinical seminary in Amsterdam in 1862. In 1874 he became chief rabbi of the Ashkenazi community in the city, and later a leader of the Mizrahi party. He published glosses to 19 tractates of the Talmud as well as an enquiry into the origin of the Tosephta.
