(1902-73)
American Reform rabbi. He was born in Chicago, and served as rabbi in Charleston, South Carolina and Toronto. In 1943 he became president of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. He was active in interfaith activities and social action. His publications include Spinoza, Never Failing Stream and Can Faith Survive?
