(ODP)
The ODP, or Freedom and Solidarity Party, is a Turkish socialist libertarian party founded in 1996 and led by Hayri Kozanoglu. It was associated with the Kurdish nationalist Demokratik Toplum Partisi (DTP). However, the ODP has had very little electoral success, polling less than 1 percent of the national vote in Turkey. In the general election of 2007 it did manage to elect its chair Ufuk Uras to the Turkish parliament as an independent. The ODP is influential in some labor unions, especially the teachers' union and some unions of public employees. The remnant of Dev Yol, now called the Libertarian Socialism Platform, is also a member of the ODP.
