Shillet
The Shillet and Chokhsor were two powerful tribal confederations in the emirate of Botan in what is now southeastern Turkey. With the demise of Botan as an emirate in 1847, both confederations quickly fell apart. The Miran tribe from the Chokhsor confederation came to dominate the others for a period of time, Mustafa Pasha of the Miran in the 1890s being a prime example. The Shillet confederation was composed of the Batuan, Kichan, Teyyan, Kherikan, and Musereshan tribes.
