The largest of the two London Stock Exchange's (LSE) markets and comprises those securities admitted to the Official List by the Financial Services Authority acting as the United Kingdom Listing Authority for the purposes of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and EC directives. (The other market is the AIM.) The listing of such securities is subject to the Listing Rules and the LSE's own Admission and Disclosure Standards.
