Formerly known as OFEX. An off-exchange share matching and trading facility, which is a prescribed market for market abuse and a recognised investment exchange. The facility originally aimed to attract small companies who did not wish to incur the expense of joining AIM.
PLUS Markets now operates two primary markets - the PLUS-listed market and the PLUS-quoted market. In August 2007 the PLUS-listed market was added to the list of regulated markets operated by the FSA. The PLUS-quoted market continues to be a prescribed market.
