On the south side of Thames Street in the parish of St. Dunstan in the east, in Tower Ward.
Devised by will of Sir Wm. Herriott, 1506, to the Drapers' Company, by the name of "Vernon's quay."
It seems to be on or near the site of Bear Quay in Horwood, now covered by the Custom House.
