Eikenella
Ei·ken·el·la (i″kən-elґə) [M. Eiken, Scandinavian biologist, 20th century] a genus of gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria of the family Neisseriaceae. The organisms are part of the normal flora of the human oral cavity and upper respiratory tract but may cause infections of the head, neck, and abdominal area and general systemic disease. The single species is E. corroґdens.
