Lactobacillales
Lac·to·ba·cil·la·les (lak″to-bas-ĭ-laґlēz) an order of lactic acid–producing bacteria of the class Bacilli; organisms are non–spore-forming, generally nonmotile, and ferment sugars to produce energy. Medically important organisms are included in the families Aerococcaceae, Enterococcaceae, Lactobacillaceae, Leuconostocaceae, and Streptococcaceae.
