lobus hepatis sinister
[TA] left lobe of liver: in traditional anatomic terminology, the smaller of the two main lobes of the liver. Anteriorly, it is separated from the right lobe by the falciform ligament. Posteroinferiorly, it is separated from the caudate and quadrate lobes by the attachment of the gastrohepatic ligament and the ligamentum teres. See also pars hepatis sinistra.
