Polyomaviridae
Poly·o·ma·vi·ri·dae (pol″e-o″mə-virґĭ-de) the polyomaviruses, a family of DNA viruses that were formerly grouped together with the papillomaviruses in a family called Papovaviridae; they have a nonenveloped icosahedral virion 40 nm in diameter and a genome of about 5,000 base pairs. The family contains just one genus, Polyomavirus.
