tuba uterina
[TA] uterine tube: a long slender tube that extends from the upper lateral cornu of the uterus to the region of the ovary of the same side; it is attached to the broad ligament by the mesosalpinx, and consists of an ampulla, an infundibulum, an isthmus, two ostia, and a pars uterina. Called also fallopian tube, oviduct, and salpinx [TA alternative].
