- d. with hemangiomas SYN: Maffucci syndrome.

dys·chon·dro·pla·sia dis-.kän-drō-'plā-zh(ē-)ə n CHONDRODYSPLASIA

a condition due to faulty ossification of cartilage, resulting in development of many benign cartilaginous tumours (see chondroma). The bones involved may become stunted and deformed. There is an increased risk of developing malignant tumours (see chondrosarcoma).
