phy·to·na·di·one (fi-to″nə-diґōn) 1. a fat-soluble vitamin of the K group (see under vitamin) with a phytyl side chain, found in green plants or prepared synthetically and having prothrombinogenic properties. 2. [USP] a preparation of phytonadione used as a prothrombinogenic agent in the treatment of hypoprothrombinemia due to various causes; administered orally or parenterally. Called also phylloquinone and vitamin K1>.
