Conn Jerome W. (1907-1994)
American physician. Conn had a long and distinguished career as a member of the medical faculty at the university hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. For many years he also served as director of the hospital's division of metabolism and endocrinology. He received numerous awards for his contributions to endocrinology. Conn also undertook studies in human nutrition, metabolic disorders, and normal human metabolism.

the combination of muscular weakness, abnormally intense thirst (polydipsia), the production of large volumes of urine (polyuria), and hypertension, resulting from excessive production of the hormone aldosterone by the adrenal cortex. 2% of cases of hypertension are due to it.
