A wolf-hunter or -catcher. In the 12c and 13c, there were still wolves enough in England for the king to have full-time wolf-hunters. During the first quarter of the 12c, these men had packs of running hounds and *grey-hounds. There was a bounty of 5s for the killing of each wolf. Some men were clearly professionals, with names like Richard Luverez and William de Leveriz.
