Liberationes
Latin word, sometimes meaning liveries, sometimes money. The liveries were given annually, as lengths of cloth to be made up appropriately. Sometimes money was given in lieu. However, even if money, it is not quite the same as solidata, the term for wages. The difference in use lies in the class of persons being paid: the first, household servants; the second, soldiers.
