stocky, Oaxaca-born professional wrestler (he won "rookie of the year" honors in 1937) and character actor, on-screen from the '50s into the '70s. He was usually cast in villainous roles, but occasionally showed flashes of humor and wit. His son, Guillermo Hernández Jr., appeared in some '70s films.
