Martha Roth was born in Italy, but came to Mexico as a young girl. After studying with Seki Sano, she began working in films in the late 1940s, winning a Best Female Co-Star Ariel for her screen debut, Una familia de tantas. Although she has appeared in few films since the 1970s, Roth is still active on TV.
