Kyobusho
   Ministry of Religion, or Ministry of Religious Education (kyo implies both religion and teaching). One of a series of short-lived Meiji government agencies set up to administer religious affairs. It took over the functions of the Jingisho in March 1872 and was superseded in 1877 by the Shajikyoku (Bureau of Shrines and Temples) based in the Home Ministry.
