Carry Nation [Carry Nation]

(1846–1911) an American woman who tried to improve society. She is best remembered for her campaign against alcohol during which she often entered bars to destroy bottles and ↑barrels containing alcoholic drink. She was arrested many times, especially in the 1890s. She also destroyed tobacco, foreign food and paintings of naked women. She published a paper called Smasher’s Mail.
