Billy Wilder [Billy Wilder]

(1906–2002) a US writer, ↑director and ↑producer of films, born in Austria. His many successful films, some of which he also wrote or helped to write, include Double Indemnity (1944), The Lost Weekend (1945), ↑Sunset Boulevard, The Seven Year Itch (1955), Some Like It Hot (1959) and The Apartment (1960). He won a total of six ↑Oscars.
